-If some muslim women are treated badly, this is due to cultural effects, local traditions,and not religious beliefs. Contrary to widespread erroneous belief, the Koran condemned pre-Islamic practices degrading and oppressing women.
-One of the most manipulated concepts in the Koran today is the concept of jihad.
The basic use of jihad is the struggle, refers to internal struggle,struggle to improve a better human being in the eyes of god,and this is the real jihad.The Koran permits fighting only in self-defense.It states categorically that killing any innocent soul is a gross sin.
-Verse after verse,the Koran emphasizes research, meditation and encourages reflection about life and the universe from the stages of the fetus development till the formation of raindrops.The importance of knowledge is one of the main messages of the Koran,meanwhile in Europe,thinkers and scientists were condemned to the guillotine.
